Schwer Fittings meet the high demands of the processing industry and provides solutions that respond optimally to the complex requirements. The products of the company are subject to stringent quality standards, from the examination of the raw material, to checks between the various stages of production, to final inspection. Quality is assured with advanced measuring equipment and methods adhering to internal production drawings. Thanks to our own assembly and final inspection the high quality standard of Schwer Fittings products is ensured.

Lasered test number

Generally, all parts, that make contact with the media, are lasered with a test number. This number conceals a wealth of information. After many years, it’s still possible to match the mechanical tests to the original material and offer a 3.1 certificate.

This provides a customer advantage, as when a fitting is installed in a system that later needs to be inspected (TUV etc), if the number is provided to Schwer Fittings, then a 3.1 certificate can be provided.

Pressure tests

In our testing and training room, pressure tests and numerous practical tests are performed and logged. Dynamic Load change tests (impulse tests) simulate the different pressures that act on fittings and valves during application. Using a video measuring system the smallest changes can be documented.

What does quality mean for Schwer fittings?

For us, quality means precision, reliability and safety - from the selection of our materials to the final testing of each individual component. Our products meet high technical requirements, are manufactured according to clear quality guidelines and are designed for a long service life

What standards does Schwer Fittings meet?

Our quality management system is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015. In addition, we meet a wide range of industry-specific requirements, including for applications in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and mechanical engineering industries

How is the QM system structured?

Our quality management system comprises clearly defined processes along the entire value chain, from incoming goods inspection to production and final inspection. Regular internal and external audits ensure that all processes meet the defined quality requirements.

Measurable quality targets are defined annually and supplemented by customer satisfaction surveys. In this way, quality management ensures that our customers receive consistently high quality as well as safe and reliable products.

How is the quality of the products ensured?

All products undergo state-of-the-art measuring and testing procedures. These include visual, dimensional and pressure tests as well as material-specific checks. The results are fully documented to ensure the greatest possible transparency and traceability

Depending on the product, we use the following tests:

Are products traceable?

Yes. Our products can be traced back to the raw material used via batch numbers and material certificates. This traceability is a central component of our quality management.

How does the final inspection work?

Before a product leaves our factory in Denkingen, it is tested by trained specialists. Only when all quality criteria have been met does the item receive its final approval.

Which factory certificates can customers receive?

We issue different test certificates in accordance with EN 10204 as required, including 2.1, 2.2 and 3.1. If you have any questions, your personal contact at Schwer Fittings will be happy to assist you.

How does a complaint work?

We consistently process complaints according to the proven 8D method. Our customers receive a prompt, well-founded complaint report. Causes are analyzed systematically and in detail in order to derive effective and sustainable measures.

The avoidance of repeat errors has the highest priority. Accordingly, great importance is attached to the permanent and sustainable elimination of errors. The effectiveness of the measures implemented is regularly reviewed, including as part of internal audits.

The 8D method is an integral part of our quality management system and ensures that all complaints are processed in a structured, transparent and traceable manner.

How is the quality of purchased materials ensured?

All suppliers are carefully selected and regularly evaluated. On receipt of goods, we check every material on the basis of batch and analysis information and certificates. Release for production only takes place once the test has been passed.

Is Schwer Fittings certified according to ISO 27001?

We are not currently certified in accordance with ISO 27001, the international standard for information security management. Nevertheless, we rely on high internal security standards to reliably protect data, information and IT systems. This includes technical and organizational measures, regular risk analyses and continuous improvements to our IT security processes
