Measuring connections

Schwer Fittings offers measuring instruments and measuring connections for installation in pipework systems. With these devices, pressure, temperature and flow can be easily measured and controlled.

Wherever aggressive and corrosive media have to be conveyed, piping systems and valves made of stainless steel have become increasingly important. Especially measuring connections for pressure monitoring and control of high, low and vacuum systems. In some cases also for venting cylinders in hydraulic systems or for sampling. Our measuring connections can be easily coupled and uncoupled under pressure and are optimally matched to the standard measuring connection hoses with M16x2 threaded nuts. 

The way it works is simple: when the knurled nut is screwed onto the measuring connection piece, the built-in non-return valve is slowly opened by the opening bolt, but only after it is fully sealed in the measuring connection piece. This creates a direct connection to the pressure gauge (via the measuring hose or via a direct pressure gauge connection). After the measurement and after unscrewing the measuring hose, the captive cover screw is screwed onto the measuring connection piece as a knurled protective nut. 

Materials and pressures

All metal parts are made of stainless steel 1.4571 and all seals are made of Viton. A wide range of threaded connection variants are available from stock.

Pressure ranges up to 630 bar and temperature values from -20°C to +200°C are possible, depending on the aggressiveness of the medium.

Of course, these measuring connections can be optimally combined with our standard cutting ring fittings in accordance with EN ISO 8434-1.
